Treatments like dental implants have helped many people. Dr. Brian Klym and our Northwood Dental team provide Restorative and Implant services that create long-lasting, lifelike results.
Northwood Dental is a mercury-free practice. However, many people still have mercury fillings. These metal fillings are less pleasing to the eye, and because of their inflexible makeup, metal fillings also make the tooth structure weaker. Porcelain inlays and tooth colored restorations create fillings that are not only unnoticeable but also add strength to a weakened tooth. Thanks to new bonding technologies, restorations turn out esthetically pleasing and very strong.
Crowns & Bridges
Dental crowns are used to cover discolored teeth or as the restoration on a dental implant. They are also used to protect a tooth from decay, restore a broken tooth, or hold a dental bridge in place.
Teeth that are too damaged for localized repair with a composite filling can be “crowned” – covering the entire tooth being restored. A dental bridge is used to replace a missing tooth and crowns are placed on the adjacent teeth to anchor and support the bridge.
If you feel you may need either of these procedures, call Northwood Dental today for a free consultation.
