Root Canal Expertise & Precision

Dr. Klym: Root Canal Expertise, Experience

Listen: Dr. Klym talks about how his father, an endodontist, taught, trained and influenced him.

About using the Kodak 90003D dental scanner, Dr. Klym says, “With a hairline fracture - no matter how a root canal is done - it won't be successful. With the 90003D we get direct visualization of each canal and can determine what the actual treatment should be.”

About his father who was an endodontic specialist, he says, “I learned his advanced techniques for doing root canals. I assisted him chairside all the way through high school and dental school. I got to see first hand how he did root canals. He taught me proper diagnosis to insure success for my endodontic patients.”

Multiple years of training from his root canal specialist father and other ongoing coursework makes it possible for Dr. Klym to offer both non-surgical treatments as well as advanced root canal surgery. Northwood patients are able to access a comprehensive range or high level services in one office.

Dr. Klym’s father, a specialist, also taught him a high level endodontic procedure: Apicoectomy. According to Northwood Dental’s Dr. Klym, “This root end surgery is used instead of doing a traditional root canal - some times that is correct treatment rather doing the more common root canal procedure.”

Finally, “As a generalist with significant training and experience in many areas including endodontics, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign orthodontics and oral sedation, I feel my patients get almost everything they need from one dentist’s office. I will collaborate with specialists like my father when required. However, Northwood Dental is a great place to base your family’s dentistry needs because of our significant reduction in redo appointments and the need to visit multiple offices.”
